Durham University Model United Nations

Dear delegates,

On behalf of Durham University and the United Nations Society, I would like to cordially invite you to the second annual Durham Model United Nations Conference 2009 (DURMUN’09). This year’s event will be the first conference open to all British universities and will comprise of six committees. A total of 125 delegates will be participating, making it the largest MUN conference in North East England. The three day conference is scheduled from the 12th to 14th of June.

DURMUN’s purpose is to facilitate a platform to allow students of all background to debate, share and create solutions to problems that threaten the livelihood of world citizens today. Through MUN rules and procedures, we hope that delegates will be able to experience a professional yet fun environment to share their ideas in the historic city of Durham.

The United Nations Society and the School of Government and International Affairs look forward to welcoming you to this conference and contribute your ideas and solutions while gaining new experiences and make new friendships from around the world.
